A TONGE Moor man is being hunted by police just a week after being released from prison.
Jacob Coleman, aged 24, was released on licence on October 3 after serving five months of a 12-month prison term for an assault on a 22-year-old woman.
He was released with licence conditions to reside at a specified address but failed to return the following day.
Coleman has links to Halliwell and Tonge Moor, police said.
Det Ch Insp Rick Jackson said: "Should anybody be found to be assisting or harbouring this wanted man, they too will face being arrested and a criminal conviction and a possible prison sentence of their own."
Anyone with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
