BURNLEY'S MP Kitty Ussher has welcomed the decision that the borough will receive £125,000 to tackle loutish behaviour.
The borough is among one of 40 areas across the country to be chosen by the Government to become a Respect zone.
In return for the cash the borough will have to promise to tackle ant-social behaviour.
Mrs Ussher said: "I welcome this extra investment in Burnley.
"My constituents tell me all the time that anti social behaviour is a top concern."
