BLACKBURN’S new bus station is starting to take shape.
Work is now well under way on the £5million glass-fronted development, which will welcome passengers from autumn 2015.

The covered complex, which will take 18 months to construct, is being built on part of Blackburn’s old market site.
The bus station has been designed by Capita Symonds, the firm behind several major projects including theLibrary of Birmingham, the BBC’s Media City at Salford Quays, and the extension to the British Library.
The new Ainsworth Street building will include a cafe and be equipped with the latest technology including real time information screens.
