THE Blackburn Business Improvement District (BID) has announced that monthly breakfast meetings return to Liz 'n' Lil's on Thursday, with an update on progress in the first year after a short break over the holiday period.

The 7.30am seminars are held on the first Thursday of every month and are exclusively for business managers and traders rather than a traditional networking and business seeking opportunity.

They are attended by members of the BID steering committee to provide a face-to-face opportunity to receive feedback from BID levy payers who are contributing to the £1.5million budget being invested over the next five years in regenerating the town.

Harriet Roberts, marketing and events consultant, said: “We are keen to bring levy payers up to date with the progress we are making in each of the areas we have committed to including making Blackburn safer more secure, creating a greener, cleaner town, marketing a vibrant town centre and attracting and supporting new businesses.

“We will also be providing an insight into the responses from our recent focus group and briefing traders on the Blackburn Heritage Festival.”
