A MAN exposed himself to a group of young girls at a campsite near Clitheroe, police said.

The incident happened at Waddington Hall campsite on Sunday at 9.30pm.

The man, described as white, mid 30s, 6ft tall with short dark hair, was wearing dark rimmed glasses.

Officers said he exposed himself to a group of at least three girls before running away.

Det Sgt Louise Darcy, of Burnley Police said: “The young girls have been left extremely upset by this incident and I would urge anyone who may have seen what happened or may have information about the man to get in touch with police as soon as possible.

“I would also ask anyone who sees a man matching this description to get in touch with us urgently.”

My daughter was at Waddow with the guides last weekend and said that they were told on Sunday evening to stay in their tents and stay together for a short time as there had been an ' incident ' .
They were there for the wellies & wristbands event .
