AN eight-year-old boy had to be freed by firefighters after getting his foot stuck in railings at a Darwen park.

The boy was playing at the playground, in Olive Lane, when he became trapped at around 3pm today (Wednesday).

A crew from Darwen fire station used air bags to part the railings and free the boy — who was not hurt and did not require any medical attention.

Sorry but my days of signing on are long gone. In fact I only had one job in my career. But it did last 25 years, before I took the money and ran. Been retired for over 24 years.

Someone has the temerity to correct him, so he resorts to childish insults and name-calling. Anyone care to hazard a guess at what his MENTAL age might be?

Judging by the presence of so many trees, the picture looks ,more like Borough Road than Olive Lane. Full marks for accuracy, LT!

No it doesn't. It looks like a stock photo of "a" fire engine and no park.
