The Chorley Live format will be the same concept as last year with activities also taking place in the daytime.

Nigel Stewart, of the Creative Network and who will be organising the acts, said it will bring a real community feel back into the town.

“The response to Chorley Live last year was phenomenal and we hope it will be even bigger and better this year,” he said.

“This really is an event for everyone and the atmosphere last year was unbelievable – it really rolled back the years and brought the town centre to life.

“We are still getting interest from acts wanting to take part and we have had a fantastic response with a performer from overseas interested in coming to Chorley to perform.”

The event is scheduled for Friday and Saturday October 3 and 4 with live performances at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm at each venue.

Wristbands will be on sale at each venue, from the acts taking part, the Creative Network or the council’s offices in Union Street.
