A LEVEL students across Lancashire are finding out today what the future holds as their A-level results are revealed.

Sixth formers and college students will be heading to their places of learning this morning to receive their grades after an anxious night.

It comes after Ofqual warnings that tougher exam standards this year means results are 'not comparable' to the grades seen last year.

Those who receive disappointing news will need to revise their university plans in the next few hours.

Students who do better than expected will also be deciding whether to change their plans, and 'trade up' to a different university or degree course.

Colleges and schools in East Lancashire will be guiding A Level students through their clearing options today, while other students will be celebrating gaining the place of their choice.
