A LADIES group which has met up every week since 1964 recently celebrated its 50th anniversary.

Rose Hill Ladies Circle, which is based at Rosehill Methodist Church in Great Lever, has raised funds for the church and Chorley-based children’s hospice Derian House over the years.

The group of more than 20 women marked the special occasion with leader Freda Cooke, who is the last surviving original member.
