A TALENTED four-year-old girl is on her way to becoming a pop star after winning a competition to feature on a song which will be broadcast across the country.

Katie Brooks is one of eight lucky winners who will become Wacky Warehouse’s Little Singers, a group of youngsters who will record a song which will be played at their restaurants nationwide.

Katie, who goes into Year One at Elton Primary School next year, will travel to a recording studio in Yorkshire next month to record the track. Proud mum Jane, of Bury Road, said: “I think it is really good for her, because singing is what she loves to do.

“She loves nothing better than to sing along to the likes of Olly Murs and songs from Disney film Frozen.”

In addition, she attends the Tracing Steps drama group at Tottington High School on Saturdays, where she dances and acts as well as singing.

Despite her vocal success, Katie’s dream is to become an author.

Jane added: “She loves reading Horrid Henry and Frozen books, and she makes her own books, doing drawings and sticking them all together.”

In addition to the chance to immortalise her voice on record, the prize gives her unlimited access to Wacky Warehouse for a year and a free meal at the Paper Mill in Pilsworth.
