A WOMAN was taken to Royal Bolton Hospital with a broken left leg after she was hit by a car.

The driver failed to stop at the scene, and as yet there are no details about the car.

The incident happened at about 7.30pm on Friday in Mancroft Terrace, Great Lever.

It is unknown whether the woman, aged 39, was walking across the road at the time of the incident.

If anyone has any information about the incident, call Greater Manchester Police on 101.
