A BIKER is in a critical condition with serious chest and leg injuries after a horror smash in Bury.
The 22-year-old man was taken to hospital after the crash involving his black Honda motorcycle and a silver Seat Arosa in Wash Lane, near the junction with Fir Street.
Police were called to the scene at 7.35pm last night and are now appealing for witnesses.
Eyewitnesses said the motorcyclist was travelling along Wash Lane when the car pulled out at Fir Street.
One Fir Street resident, who did not wish to be named, said: "After we heard the noise there were quite a few people from the street who came out to see what was going on and to help with first aid.
"The young guy was lying on the floor not moving so we could tell he wasn't in a good way."
Anyone with information can call Greater Manchester Police’s serious collision investigation unit on 0161 8564742.
