CHART-TOPPING boy band Rixton have announced details of a UK headline tour.

The group, featuring former Canon Slade School pupil Lewi Morgan, will play Manchester’s Academy 2 on October 26.

The news comes after their debut single, Me & My Broken Heart, shot straight into the UK singles chart at number one.

A huge radio smash across the country, it beat competition from Ariana Grande, will.i.am and Nicole Scherzinger to claim the top spot, with video views now topping 14 million.

Lewi, who grew up in Four Lane Ends and whose parents now live in Atherton, is one quarter of the band with lead singer/guitarist Jake Roche, guitarist Charley Bagnall and bassist/keyboardist Danny Wilkin.

The lads played Manchester's Ruby Lounge earlier this month and have just flown to the United States, where they have already achieved huge success, to embark on their first-ever North American headline tour.

Tickets for the UK tour went on O2 pre-sale at 9am on Thursday and are also available for fan pre-sale via rixton.seetickets.com.

They go on general sale at 9am on Saturday via gigsandtours.com/tour/rixton, costing £13.50.

Rixton, managed by Scooter Braun — the record label owner who discovered Justin Bieber on YouTube when the Canadian singer was just 12  — will be announcing their next single soon.
