A MAN is in hospital following a house fire in Burnley.

A section of Accrington Road is closed to traffic this morning to allow police and the fire service to carry out an investigation.

The blaze happened around 5.30am and a 21-year-old man suffered burns and the effects of smoke inhalation.

Insp Andy Winter said his condition was stable.

He added: “The road will certainly be closed this morning. It might be we can reduce the cordon later in the morning.

“But for the next few hours, there will be an effect on local traffic.”

That idiot CarolynFont is linking to an American website, perhaps she's too stupid to realise that Burnley isn't in America.
