STREET party experts in Smithills threw another fun-filled bash to raise money for cancer research.
Families, friends and neighbours dusted off their bunting and barbecue equipment for Capitol Close’s fourth street party.
Claire Beswick, who helped organise the street bonanza, said: “It was another fantastic street party. We first started doing street parties to celebrate royal events, such as the Queen’s Jubilee and the birth of Prince George, and have carried it on ever since.
“We’ve been so lucky with the weather every time, too. The kids always love it. We got all the toys out and they played all day.”
Residents held the street party as part of Cancer Research’s BBQ To Beat Cancer event.
They raised more than £570 for the charity.
