A LITTLE Lever pub raised more than £600 in aid of dementia research.
The Jolly Carter Pub in Church Street held a charity night in memory of the late Stan West, a former customer at the pub who died from advanced vascular dementia on April 27.
The night was organised by Ian Ackerley and Martin Carlile, both friends of Mr West.
Of the £620 which was raised on the night, £250 went to St Catherine’s Care Home, where Mr West was looked after, and £250 went to Bolton Dementia Support Group, where Mr West and his wife Fran received help.
The remaining £120 was given to The Jolly Carter by Dementia UK.
