Prison service teaches Bolton kids how to stay out of trouble

YOUNG people were taught important life skills to keep them safe in fun workshops run by the prison service.
Members of the HM Prison Manchester Community Teamvisited Ladybridge Primary School to reinforce safety messages, including stranger danger, anti-bullying, cyber bullying , anti-social behaviour.
The children also met the canine members of the team.
The messages were delivered through quizzes, games and talks in a fun way.
The team ran workshops for children in Years Three to Six and the school was presented with a plaque to be given out annually to a child recognsing their community work.
Business manager Cheryl Taylor said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed it. The day was very educational and it was a whole school event.”
She added: “I think the workshops were important for children moving on to secondary school. The award is something nice for the children to work towards.”
