PROPOSALS to demolish an existing bungalow and build 16 new homes in Clitheroe have been submitted to Ribble Valley Borough Council.

Bowsall Ltd of Salford want to construct 11 two storey houses for sale and five affordable properties for social renting.

The will be built on land currently occupied by a bungalow, formerly owned by the late Harry Badger, on Parker Avenue.

The homes for sale will have four bedrooms and those for rent three.

The planning application includes proposals for improved road access and services and a pumping station at the 1.8 acre site.

Bowsall have confirmed Adactus Housing are interested in managing the rented affordable homes to meet a shortage of such properties in the Ribble Valley.
