A DRUNK man climbed to the top of an 80ft crane on The Rock after a night out.
The man had climbed up the crane earlier on Friday night, and fire crews and police were called at around 5am this morning.
It is believed the 26-year-old was drunk and was at the top of the crane singing songs after a night out, when a member of the public reported it in the fear that he was about to jump.
Emergency services spoke to the man in a bid to get coax him down from the crane, and about an hour later he eventually came down.
Fire crews from Bury, Whitefield, and a specialist aerial appliance from Bolton attended, as well as police.
The specialist appliance was not needed, as the man managed to climb down the crane of his own accord.
