A MAN has appeared in court on a dangerous dog charge following the death of Blackburn baby Ava-Jayne Corless in February.
Lee Christopher Wright, 27, of Ronald Street, Blackburn, was bailed when he appeared before the town’s magistrates charged with possessing a fighting dog, namely a pitbull type.
The case was adjourned until July 31 so the defence could consider statements, in particular one from a dog expert who claimed the animal as a fighting dog.
