SEVEN people - including one from Bolton - have been charged in relation to an alleged £300 million conspiracy to supply drugs across north west England.
Police carried out a number of early morning raids in Bolton, Prestwich and Altrincham yesterday.
The charges, against five men and two women, are related to a drugs seizure in February after a van was stopped by police in Cheshire.
Delroy Bailey, aged 45, from Bolton, is charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs.
Paul Doyle, aged 55, who is formerly from Altrincham, is charged with two counts of conspiracy to import class A drugs, two counts of conspiracy to import class B drugs and conspiracy to import class C drugs, Greater Manchester Police said.
Michael Manning, aged 52, and Amanda Manning, aged 24, both from Salford, Gareth Forbes, aged 37, and Emma Williams, aged 29, both from Worsley, are all charged with conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs.
Nadim Ahmad, aged 41, from Trafford, is charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
All seven will appear at Manchester City Magistrates Court tomorrow and have been remanded in custody.
