A FLORAL art show in aid of charity took place at Bolton Parish Church.
The show raised £503 for Water Aid, a charity which aims to improve access to safe water, improved hygiene and sanitation in the world’s poorest communities.
There were nine exhibitions from designers at the Academy of Floral Art in Exeter, which were open to the public.
These exhibitions were auctioned off after the show, for £270.
Julie Pearson, an international art designer from Harwood who is a consultant for the floral industry, organised the show.
Mrs Pearson said: “We got an amazing reception and we’re pleased with how much we raised from the auction.
“We want to make a difference for children other parts of the world and increase awareness of the struggles they face.”
Cllr John Walsh helped with the planning and preparation of the event.
The idea for the show came from Tina Parkes, who is managing director of the Academy of Floral Art.
