Organisers of a two-day live music and entertainment event in Chorley are calling on local performers and venues who want to take part to come forward.
Chorley Council is teaming up with the Creative Network to put on Chorley Live, which proved a hit last year, attracting more than 4,000 people to town over two days.
The organisers are looking for a wide variety of acts including bands and solo artists covering all genres of music but there will also be other types of performances including comedians, poets, magicians and ventriloquists. It is on Friday and Saturday, October 3 and 4, with performances at 7pm, 8pm, 9pm and 10pm.
People can gain entry to venues with a £5 wristband valid for more than 100 live performances on Friday and Saturday evening.
Venues include pubs, libraries, churches and restaurants and there will be something for everyone including families and young children. The organisers are also looking for new venues to host performances in the town centre. Nigel Stewart, of the Creative Network who is organising the acts, said: “I was staggered by the success of the first ever Chorley Live last year and we had so many positive comments about how great it was and that there was a brilliant atmosphere in the town.
“The venues love it, the performers love it and the punters love it so it promises to be a great weekend.”
