A pupil from Charnock Richard Primary School in Chorley visited a showhome to see the bedroom she designed transformed from paper to reality.

Lola Williams, four, entered the design competition, launched by house builder Stewart Milne Homes’ Farrington Park which asked children in the Chorley area to submit designs of their ideal bedroom.

Young Lola took home first prize with her butterfly inspired room and saw her design re-created in the showhome at Buckshaw Village. Simon Bennett, sales and marketing director for Stewart Milne Homes and Catherine Ogilvie of Show Business Interiors had the difficult task of judging the competition.

Catherine was on site to see Lola’s reaction as she opened the door to her room.

She said: “Lola was very excited to see her room and was particularly pleased with the 3D butterfly display.

“Both Simon and I were extremely impressed by just how creative children are in Chorley. However we felt Lola’s design was the perfect fit for a kid’s bedroom in our Farrington Park showhome.”
