Police who spoke to a man about an incident at the Darwen Live music festival were met with a torrent of abuse.
Magistrates heard that David Lee Tucker was clearly under the influence of alcohol and he was eventually arrested for a public order offence.
Tucker, 44, of Birch Hall Avenue, Darwen, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour and was fined £130 with £105 costs.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said his client apologised for his behaviour.
He said Tucker was at the festival when the police spoke to him about something that had nothing to do with him.
“He was arrested, he would say incorrectly, and he reacted inappropriately,” said Mr Taylor. “He accepts he shouldn’t have used the colourful language that he did.”
