WRITER and musician Howard Broadbent is keeping the traditional of a good old sing song around the piano alive thanks to his regular appearances at a local pub.

The popular entertainer appears at the Jolly Crofters in Chorley Old Road, Horwich, on Thursday afternoons, belting out a wide variety of old favourites including his hit song The Blackpool Belle.

Howard plays the piano and the fun afternoon includes guest singers.

“They are always very popular afternoons with plenty of people turning up to join in,” says 77-year-old Mr Broadbent.

The evening sessions runs from 2pm to 4.30pm and are open to anyone interested in joining in the fun.
