A DRUNKEN man who threatened to kill his partner after she dumped him by text has been given a nine-month community sentence at Bolton Crown Court.

The Honorary Recorder of Bolton, Judge Timothy Clayson, heard how Michael Baggaley had a history of violence against his partner during their four-year relationship and had been in and out of prison for assaulting her.

But on February 12 she sent him a message ending their relationship. He then took an overdose of painkillers.

He was taken to hospital but became aggressive, threatening to punch a doctor in order to be sent to prison, and then telling his mother he was going stab his partner and kill the dogs.

Drunken Baggaley left hospital and police found him at his partner’s home, where he was arrested.

Baggaley, aged 36, of Arnold Street, Bolton, pleaded guilty to using threatening behaviour.

Baggaley, who has been in custody since February, was released and sentenced to nine months supervision, in addition to attending an alcohol treatment programme for six months.

So, comments allowed on this article, but not on the one about Abdul Wahid Qadir conning nearly £100k out of his innocent victims?

Doesn't take a genius to work out why, "innit.....?"
