They really have to act now and do something about this , we are hearing all the time about suicides from the car park and nothing has been done , with one attempt and one death in one day ! The centre have known previously with the number of deaths and have done nothing to prevent this and let's face it is there any point of accrington Arndale being open ! There's hardly any shops in there ...thoughts are with the young lady who died today and her family

it's probably the only way to get help nowadays, the waiting lists are way too long.

It seems that car park is a regular drop off point.. Suppose everyone who lives in Accy is looking for a way.out, but using the car park is a bit extreme and it puts what's left of the emergency services under even more pressure.

My keyboard went awol so please let me apologise for the perception gained from my previous comment.
These suicides that seem to be happening from this car park are happening for a reason.
The reason is people are becoming desperate.
Obviously they are not getting the help they should. Government cuts to public services, Austerity. whatever.
Personally i blame the current crop of politicians. They have not necessarily created the desperate situations that these people find themselves in, but what they have done is to remove the way out just to save a few quid

Saving someone's life in difficult circumstances could be classed as brave, but its best not to label those who take their own lives as brave, especially for the sake of those who may be contemplating suicide, desperation would be a better word.

This country seems like paradise to many foreigners, and it probably is!

Maybe the reason why is because people are disastisfied compared to their peers, or what they consider their peers (people in the media eye).

Big business has helped to create this situation with adverts, product placements and lobbying parliament etc.

The music and media industry have debased public morals in order to sell more product (eg childrens and music tv in a race to the bottom ethically speaking).

In the end it may come full circle and maybe that is how some of what we perceive as extreme religious morals come into being.

Not the Arndales fault though is it? People are quick to blame a carpark. No one mentioning knocking down the railway viaduct are they? Not being heartless here.
