A YOUNG dad ended up in trouble trying to see his newborn baby – just days after causing mayhem on Burnley Market.

Marcus Tapp, 20, was fined £70 last week by town magistrates for threatening to kill stallholders and to break a police officer's legs in a disturbance on May 28.

Three days later, he turned up at his estranged partner's parents’ home, was told to leave, pushed a motorbike parked nearby to the ground, picked it up and threw it down again, a Burnley court heard.

He claimed he fell over the bike, was said to have been at a low ebb and to have turned to drink after the split with the mother of his child.

Tapp, of no fixed address, admitted damage to the Yamaha, on May 31 and was conditionally discharged for six months and ordered to pay £100 compensation.

Ben Leech, for Tapp, said: “He made the bad decision to go round and have contact with his newborn child. It was made quite clear he was not welcome and he was ushered away.

“He was backing away when he fell over the bike.” attempted to pick the bike back up, but it was too heavy."

So now he owes £170. He can't have a job cos he doesn't have an address.

Guess it's me and you paying the fine. We pay for everything else so just add it on.

Let's hope the additional £30 he won't pay stops him causing more issues next week.

He might not pay the fine but he won't have any problems with finding the money to go out and get drunk.
