THE sister of tragic Richard Calsen is set to raise money for charity in his memory.

Stephanie Calsen will cycle 40 miles to the windmill in Lytham St Annes, via Blackpool, on August 2before ditching her bike and walking back to her hometown of Chorley, in aid of Derian House Children’s Hospice.

She said she would do it in memory of Mr Calsen, 25 — known as Chard —who was killed after being crushed inside a bin wagon while working at welding firm John Fowler and Son in Abbey Village, near Chorley, on Saturday, May 17.

Speaking on social networking site Facebook, she said: “We have been training for some time now, but this year this challenge is even closer to my heard because, last year, I did it with my brother Chard.”

A funeral service for the dad-to-be was held last Thursday.
