BLACKBURN-based Training 2000 has delivered its first Level 2 Scaffolding Apprenticeship to a group of six learners.
The new qualification, accredited by the Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme (CISRS), is the only course of its kind to be delivered in the area. It has provided the learners with the opportunity to work for a number of reputable employers whilst obtaining foundation knowledge so they can progress to scaffolder status. Each apprentice has completed 18 months of block release training which involves practical and technical learning of the scaffolding industry, while the apprenticeship also covers safe erection and dismantling of basic structures, the correct use of harnesses and fall prevention methods.
