FAMILIES paid tribute to lost loved ones during a poignant service of remembrance at Bolton Wanderers Football Club.
The annual event — held tonight at the Reebok Stadium — had special theme of remembrance for the commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of World War One.
A bugler played out the Last Post as wreathes were laid in a tribute to those involved in the Bolton team caught up in the war.
Club chaplain Phil Mason led the service as the names of people associated with the club lost during the past 12 months were read out while other names from previous years were displayed on the stadium screen.
One name was that of Wanderers legend Malcolm Barrass, who made 357 appearances for the club and died last August at the age of 88.
