People are being urged to return postal votes for the local and European elections being held on Thursday.

To ensure every vote is in on time, people should return them as soon as possible.

Gary Hall, chief executive at Chorley Council, said: “The postal votes have now been delivered so we’re asking people to return them quickly to avoid them getting delayed in the post.” People who have a postal vote will have received a pack with a ballot paper for the EU election plus an additional ballot paper for the local election, if they live in one of the 17 wards in Chorley holding an election.

Completed postal vote packs can also be delivered by hand to the Town Hall or dropped off at your local polling station before the poll closes at 10pm on Thursday.
