THE Lads versus Dads charity football match at Old Blackburnians was well attended despite the weather.
Players and their sons played out a competitive game and there was plenty of fun to be had away from the pitch with fairground rides, face painting, a bouncy castle, ice cream and burgers.
Organisers would like to thank staff at Old Blacks Bob Flood Liddle and Paul Upton, Skippys Roadshow, referee Matt Silitoe (who kindly donated his fee to the charity), ex-soldier Jordon Wignall, Hollands Amusements, Sweets R Uz, Lorraine Walker, Christine Thompson, June Gallagher and Rippleheads Ice-cream.
All proceeds to be donated to the Help for Heroes charity.
The match was a draw at 5-5.
Man of the match was Daryl Dean.
