AN elderly man suffered a “nasty” leg injury in a car crash in Deane Road.

The man was injured when a Vauxhall Astra and a Ford Focus crashed near Wigan Road at about 4pm today.

Police said the injured man was in one of the cars.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesman said a man, thought to be in his 90s, suffered a “nasty” leg wound.

Paramedics and police are still at the scene and the road is partially blocked, causing delays for motorists.

Sat on the wall near Horsefield St one afternoon, some of the people should not be in charge of a pedal car never mind a motor vehicle. That's just one junction.
