THE unseasonal spring weather could not dampen the spirits of the hundreds of people who turned out for Bromley Cross summer fair.
The event, now in its fourth year, is put together by the The Friends of Bromley Cross.
There were also performances by Eagley Brass Band, Accrington Pipe Band, Midweek Sax, majorettes and cheerleaders.
Children enjoyed donkey rides while all visitors enjoyed the animals who dropped by on their mobile farm.
There were also special appearances from Peppa Pig, Fireman Sam, Mickey and Minnie Mouse as well many other popular characters.
Inside the Penny Farthing Suite, more than 30 local groups and organisations organised fundraising for their own special causes.
The Friends of Bromley Cross was set up by the three village councillors to organise events during the year to bring the community together.
Cllr David Greenhalgh said: “To see all those people turn up, often three generations of a family, to support the event, is fantastic.
“To have every local primary school choir perform is a credit to the teachers of those schools, and to the sense of community that exists in our area.
“It takes a lot of organising, and I must thank Bolton Council and Bolton at Home for their additional help this year.”
