A shopper braves the wind and rain in Bolton town centre
IT may be May, but the April showers are still falling in Bolton — in buckets.
Shoppers and visitors to the town centre over the weekend had to battle heavy rain and blustery winds.
Numerous sporting fixtures were affected by the downpours, and all cricket games in the Bolton Association and Bolton League were wiped out.
The Met Office is predicting more bad weather today and tomorrow, before the sunshine comes back on Wednesday.
