NELSON and Colne College have welcomed its new assistant principal.
Nelson and Colne College Sixth Form have appointed Paul Britton to the senior management team with overall responsibility for A Level provision.
Paul joined the college as assistant principal in April from York College. The Oxford graduate has taught and led teams in a range of further education and sixth form colleges, including Exeter and Hampshire.
He said: “I am extremely excited about working at Nelson and Colne College, a place that combines a real family feeling with truly outstanding achievements by our students.
“I have already found an exceptionally able and committed team of staff and I am especially passionate about developing our A Level provision to ensure the very best preparation for those students wanting to pursue an academic path.
“I have a particular interest in developing the skills that will ensure our students will be highly sought after by the most prestigious of universities”.
