Work set to start on £400m rail programme in Chorley

Work begins next week to rebuild bridges in a £400m rail electrification programme.

Bridges at Harpers Lane, Chorley, and Railway Road, Adlington, will be rebuilt to allow overhead electricity lines to run underneath.

The roads will close as follows: Harpers Lane, Chorley, May 5 - October 24; Railway Road, Adlington, June 9- November 7.
