WELL-WISHERS turned out in droves to help raise money in memory of tragic teenager Aleysha Rothwell at a Breightmet pub.

The fundraising day at the Mosley Arms pub, in Red Lane, saw about 100 people attend and help to raise around £800.

Attractions included a tombola stall, a food stand, face painting, a bouncy castle and music.

Friend Morgan Pritchard, aged 14, who organised the day, said: “We think we have raised about £3,000 in total now, with the different events that have taken place.

“The aim of these events is to get everyone together, and to help give Aleysha a good send off and raise some money in her memory.”

Morgan says a walk around Bolton town centre in Aleysha’s memory has been planned for Saturday, May 10.

Aleysha was 16 when she died at her home in Breightmet, where she lived with her foster mother Beverley Sharples.
