A MAN was airlifted to hospital this morning after suffering a heart attack while working on a roof.
The incident happened in Whalley Road, Accrington, just after 09.58am when the man was at the top of some scaffolding.
Fire crews used an extension ladder to help the man down, and he was taken by air ambulance to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
A NWAS spokeswoman said: “A male was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital suffering from chest pains.”
