THE Clarets’ promotion success has been immortalised in song by an Irish folk band.

The Corrigan Brothers, who had their biggest hit with a track called There’s No-one As Irish As Barack Obama, have penned a tune paying tribute to Sean Dyche’s side.

The band, formerly known as Hardy Drew and the Nancy Boys, said they were inspired to write Burnley Are Back Where They Belong by their cousins Billy and Des Foley, who live in Burnley.

The band’s guitarist Brian Corrigan, from Castletroy, County Limerick, said: “Our Burnley cousins, the Foleys, are very serious Clarets fans and we felt we should celebrate Burnley’s return to where they belong, the Premier League, in song.”

The Corrigan Brothers – completed by multi-instrumentalists Ger and Donncha – plan to visit their cousins for the first home game of the Premier League season.

Brian added: “We will have a few pints, and sing a few songs.”
