A 15-YEAR-OLD girl is still in a serious condition in hospital after she was hit by a car while she was walking with her family.
She was thrown into the air after the car mounted the kerb and hit her at about 10.50am on Sunday in Chapeltown Road, Bromley Cross.
The driver of the car, an elderly man, had lost control of the vehicle after falling ill at the wheel.
An air ambulance, which landed in the grounds of the nearby Turton School, airlifted the teenager to the Manchester Royal Infirmary, where she is still recovering.
A police spokesman said: “She remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital and we are expecting that to remain the situation for the time being.”
