POLICE are re-appealing for information about a 50 year old man from Accrington who has been missing for nearly two weeks.

Trevor Whitehead, who will turn 51 tomorrow (Wednesday 23 April), was last seen in the town on the evening of Wednesday 9 April 2014, however he has failed to show up to work or get in contact with his family since that time.

Police are continuing to grow increasingly concerned for Mr Whitehead’s welfare, and would urge anyone with any information to come forward.

PC Mo Jogee said; “Trevor regularly frequents nature spots in the local area and we, along with the Rossendale and Pendle Mountain Rescue Team, are continuing to conduct searches locally.

“If anybody has any knowledge of Trevor’s whereabouts, then I would urge them to contact the Police.”

Mr Whitehead is described as being white, around 5' 7" tall, of medium build, with a fair complexion and short grey hair.

He was wearing either a red waterproof jacket or a German Camouflage jacket with green wellington boots and may be in possession of a ground sheet.

PC Jogee added: “If anybody thinks they may have seen a man matching this description over the last week then please come forward.

“Trevor is prescribed medication; however, it is believed that he may no longer be taking this which is a cause for concern.

“If you think you can help please contact us.”
