Substation fire leaves Bromley Cross houses without power

AN electricity fault at a substation left 1,200 homes in Bromley Cross without power.

A short circuit is believed to have started a small fire at the sub station off Queens Avenue at 2am this morning.

Firemen cordoned off the substation and engineers from Electricity North West were called to repair the damage and get the power restored.
