PUPILS at The Gates Primary School in Westhoughton showed off their egg-septional creations for the annual Wacky Warehouse Easter egg competition.
The youngsters pulled out all the stops with their designs, which featured a One Direction concert, a pink flamingo and an “I’m a Cel-EGG-brity... Get me out of here!” style jungle.
Those who won the competition from each class, which was judged last Friday before the school broke up for the Easter holidays, were given Easter eggs as a prize.
Vicky Lord and Bryony Campbell, team players at Wacky Warehouse, in Over Hulton, dressed as mascots Wendy and Wesley before taking on the hard task of judging the winners.
Miss Lord said: “We were really impressed with the standard of designs this year. It was really hard to choose the first prizes as they were all so well made.
“My colleague Bryony and I then dressed up as the mascots and announced the winners, so it was a really fun afternoon and the kids seemed to enjoy it.”
