A DRIVER escaped unhurt after he crashed into the boundary wall of a mosque.

The crash, on Thursday afternoon, happened in the car park of the Zakariyya Mosque in Peace Street, Daubhill.

A spokesman for the mosque said: “The man was a member of the congregation and he was okay.

“The pictures make the accident look more dramatic than it was.

“Everything has been cleared up and the wall will be repaired.”

Emergency services did not need to be called.

That is the car ploughed through the inner-side of the outer-wall.

And judging by the damage it was doing some speed in that car-park area.

The mind boggles. Cars and Daubhill are a hugely terrible mix.

from the photo it looks like it hit the wall from the inside (car park perhaps). Possibly someone taken ill at the wheel. Note to photographers - please try to get horizontal horizons. I know it is trendy in some shots, but sometimes it looks at if you have not even bothered to line up the shot. Thank you

Insurance claim for what exactly?

Dear Insurance Company,

I've crashed my car into a wall. Oh and by the way, it happened in a private car park. How much can I claim?

Even though it happened on private land if any occupants in the car then I believe a claim can still be made against drivers insurance and driver would need to pay the excess. Now im not making accusations or anything of the sort but to be fair to some of the above comments on scams and such my premiums go up and up because the bl postcodes are horrific for quotes.. I have a second address in london and my quotes are always 400+ in bl postcodes compared to my kt postcode... not to mention the amount of crashfor cash schemes I have witnessed and been asked to be Iinvolved in... bottom line we will never know and I wouldnt take most of the comments seriously on here because most people dont know how to conduct themselves. .. have a happy Easter all

Seemingly, if a small minded person reads your comment & interprets it to meet their own agenda then your are deemed to be at fault.

I simply made a comment based on society's eagerness to cash in on compensation.

Somebody has taken this to mean that I am accusing the Asian community of committing insurance fraud.

This was not my intention, however, it has come to my attention that there have been many court cases to prove this has happened previously.

Like I said, clearly touched a nerve !!!

HOW THIS IS ALLOWED IS RIDICULOUS... AND WALKING INTO A BANK WITH THEM ON ?
IT WAS NOT LONG AGO AN ASIAN JEWELERS ON DAUBHILL DURING THE DAY WAS ROBBED AS THE OWNER BUZZED OPEN THE SECURITY DOOR TO LET 3 OR 4 PEOPLE IN, DRESSED FROM HEAD TO TOE AS MUSLIM WOMEN WITH NIQABS ON, ONLY TO FIND OUT WHEN HE HAD LET THEM IN THEY WERE ASIAN BLOKES WHO THEN ROBBED THE PLACE.
Would have it made a difference if dressed as NUNS?
YES BECAUSE I TRUST A NUN :-)
It was white blokes

GMP must be involved as the bricks crashed onto the public highway so surely there is some law against this!
