That depends, are we talking about current form? Where Burnley are in touching distance from Premier Leauge football, and Rovers are sat mid-table in the Championship?

Or are we dusting off the history books and reminising about the good old days as per usual?

I hate to tell you, but football is all about HERE AND NOW.

The Championship is littered with ex-Premier League clubs all harping on about how good they WERE, all with ****-poor teams and struggling to attract decent players and good crowds.

Well done on your past, your present and future look bleak - enjoy FFP while we dine at the top table again.

You will be down in One Season just like 2009/10 just one season .
It's not the past or history Rovers were in PL for 18 years won the PL title in 1995 and went in Champion's League as Champions of England in 1995.
Premier League began in 1992 and only five Clubs won PL Title to this date which Burnley Preston and Blackpool will never win.
Enjoy your one season in PL and Rovers will be back in PL where they belong as Lancashire biggest Club.
As for the Queen she is in Blackburn not Burnley and a flag of Blackburn Rovers is raised as the Queen is to visit Ewood Park.
Blackburn Rovers simply the best and Blackburn with Darwen the largest Authority in Lancashire with a population of 147,500

I know most Blackburn fans started supporting the club AFTER the onset of the Premier League but you may be interested to know that there actually was football before this date, and before Fat Jack started emptying his wallet and wasting his kid's inheritance, you were a nothing club with gates of 6k.

Oh and well done that the Queen has finally visited your miserable little town for the first time ever (She has visited Burnley THREE times, the last one in 2012).

You had me until the bit about Blackburn Rovers being the biggest club in Lancashire.

Now I realise evidently you have a few marbles rolling around upstairs.
18 years in Premier League
won the Premier League title in 1995
qualified for Champions League as Champions of England in 1995
qualified for Uefa for four times
won the League Cup in 2002

Sorry but she visited Blackburn with Darwen in 1955 and 1968 plus today makes three times. So there!

Yes Burnley are a bigger football club than Rovers because they said so. They also take hundreds of thousands to every away game - because they said so.

Wow, 3 times eh! Do you want a nice shiny badge?

You're right about the football before the Premier League though. If I remember rightly I think Rovers were in the top half of Div 2 playing infront of about 8 or 9,000 & Burncelona were bottom of Div 4 playing infront of about 1,500 -2,000..... that only lasted for 6 seasons though before you had 50,000 on T'urf against Leyton Orient - and now look at you, on the verge of dominating world football forever.

Had the dingle tattoo yet Charlie? You know, the 9-3-14 one?

So there![/p][/quote]I think it was four times she visited Blackburn with Darwen 1955 1968 2006 and today 2012 . Burnley is a shithole place with many houses boarded up and selling for £30K or under and is one of the most depressing place in England along with MIddlesbrough and Hull. Dingles will be in Premier League for One Season and back down as Rovers will be up again in PL where we belong. Blackburn Rovers simply the best Premier League Champions of 1995. M.DANNY

You had me until the bit about Blackburn Rovers being the biggest club in Lancashire.

Now I realise evidently you have a few marbles rolling around upstairs.
18 years in Premier League
won the Premier League title in 1995
qualified for Champions League as Champions of England in 1995
qualified for Uefa for four times
won the League Cup in 2002
Are Preston North End, Burnley FC and Blackpool FC bigger the Blackburn Rovers FC ?

So how big is Burnley ? population 87,000 and many houses are boarded up and houses selling for £30k and under.
Blackburn with Darwen population 147,500 the largest Authority in Lancashire.
Houses are selling for £60k and over.Unlike Burnley Blackbun are building more homes as demands are rising as Blackburn with Darwen population is growing. While people are deserting depressing town of Burnley about 2,500 have left Burnley while Blackburn population has increased of over 10,000 .

Had a bit of crack with Philip, as we know each other, from elsewhere,
'good turn out, given the weather'.

My great uncle, a blacksmith, used to shoe his horses, for the Lowther Horse trials, when I was in training to be a Blacksmith, and before that, I used to feed his horses, crusts, from Birketts bakery, as a child, when him and and my Godfather, used to sneak into the Coach and Horses pub, in Penrith, years ago, before George Bowman was famous.. for beating him in a coach and four.
Call him what you like, he doesn't forget the people of his past, he is still sure that, I knobbled his horses, with them crusts.
God bless the Duke of Edinburgh.

@danny,
have ever sought help for the condition, OCD,
as your propensity for making lists, has me thinking that you may need help.

No matter the topic, you have this need, to churn out lists,
which is indicative of obsessive compulsive behaviour.
Would you, just for me, before it goes beyond it's normal parameters, seek some help, as I'm quite concerned about you, in the way that you write.
I am aware of how this behaviour leads, and would not you want to go down that road and therefore, asking you, as a friend, to seek some help.
If you show them what you have written, they, like me, will understand, then give you some help.
I write this, in an wholly friendly way, with an absolute fear of your future, where I have seen this before, in my friends, where they went astray, and would not wish this for you, ever, as it did not turn out well for them.
Seek help, my friend.

I once went for a job shoeing horses, and was asked if I'd ever shoed a horse before. No I replied, but I once told a donkey to f*** off!
