The venues for Chorley’s new event celebrating the use of words through reading, writing and listening have been announced.
What's Your Story, Chorley?, organised by Chorley Council and the Creative Network, promises a fiesta of fun, fiction and fairytales to celebrate the spoken and written word on Saturday, April 26.
And the venues for the event will include Chorley Library, Ebb and Flo Bookshop, Knitty Noras, Chorley Interchange, the Town Hall and an outdoor area close to the Covered Market and Market Walk entrance.
Councillor Peter Wilson, deputy leader of Chorley Council, said: “With Chorley Live last year and now What’s Your Story, Chorley?, we’re trying to create a programme of events that will draw people in from right across the region and put Chorley on the map as a place to come and visit.
“Put the date in your diary and come along to enjoy a great day of entertainment and you might discover a new hobby too.”
Each venue will have performers and workshops starting on the hour from 11am through until the final session that will run until 4pm.
Entry into the venues will be via a wristband that will be available in advance, or on the day, for a voluntary contribution of £1.
