THE new chairman of Bolton Hospice will take on the climb of a lifetime when she treks up Mount Kilimanjaro to raise funds for the charity.

Judith Bromley will take part in the challenge in June next year and is inviting local people to join her.

One of the first is Gabrielle MacDonald, Director of MacDonald Care Ltd.

Mrs Bromley, who was appointed to her role in January, already has a small group of people who have signed up to join her on the 10-day challenge.

She said: “I really wanted to do something different to mark my appointment as Bolton Hospice chairwoman and to raise awareness of the hospice and the fantastic care that is given there.

“I’ve always regarded Kilimanjaro as one of the toughest challenges out there, but it’s nothing compared to what our patients and their families at the hospice have to face every day. I’d love for as many people to join me as possible.”
